>07 May 2025, Springfield, Illinois - On the sidelines of the Consulate General’s field voting activity and outreach mission in Springfield IL, Chicago PCG met Filipino community leaders to touch base with them and to promote the 2025 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, which will take place from 06 to 15 July 2025 in the Philippines.

The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ella Karina R. Mitra and Ms. Rocylyn T. De Leon, graced the kick-off event of SINING Presents on 06 May 2025 at the Columbia College Chicago Student Center. Also present at the event were Mr. Clare Lake, International Student and Scholar Services Director, and Ms. Monika Jaiswal-Oliver, Academic Manager, School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
As part of its health and wellness initiatives, and in keeping with its goal of advancing the health equity of its personnel, the Philippine Consulate in Chicago organized an intra-office bowling tournament on 30 April 2025 at the 10PIN Bowling Lounge in Downtown Chicago.

The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel and Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine, attended the Philippine Nurses Association in Illinois (PNAI) Nurses Week Celebration and Nurse Excellence Award Ceremony held at the Spring Creek Reservoir, Bloomingdale, IL on 04 May 2025.
The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, led by Consul Ella Karina Mitra, substitute member of Post’s Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), together with Ms. Rocylyn De Leon, SBRCG chairperson, and Mr. Ric Miranda, SBRCG member, conducted a field enrollment and online voting assistance for the 2025 PHL National Elections during the Q1 Town Hall Meeting and Safety Celebration of AG&P on 04 May 2025 at the Hilton Garden Inn in West Chester, OH. The event was attended by at least 50 Filipino employees of AG&P.
3 May 2025, Springfield, Illinois - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted on 3 May 2025 (Saturday) a field pre-voting enrollment and voting assistance for the 2025 Philippine National Elections at the Saint Joseph Church, 1345 N Sixth Street, Springfield, IL 62702. The event was the Consulate General’s third field pre-voting enrollment and field voting assistance.
